Andy and Matt deployed together to the Red Sea in 2022 on a Guided Missile Destroyer. They’ve shaved A LOT during their 10 years of Naval service, often in less-than-ideal circumstances. Sharing a bathroom with 15 others, having limited access to new razors, and living on a ship that had to make its own fresh water, made shaving difficult. While deployed, they brainstormed ideas for better, cleaner ways to shave and sketched out designs for what would become the Razor Rinser. When they got home, Andy used his engineering training from the Naval Academy and his experience with hydraulics to develop their first prototype in 2023. When their wife and girlfriend loved shaving with the Razor Rinser too, they knew they were on to something. After a year of testing and designing, the Razor Rinser will be live on Kickstarter in mid-2024!
